Last week for the first time I tried brussels sprouts.
Have you had brussels sprouts?
If you add something a little fatty and let them get a little crispy they are actually quite good.
Sausage and Brussels Sprouts
10-15 brussels sprouts, cleaned and quartered
1/2 lb spicy sausage, removed from its casing
1 t caraway seeds
salt and pepper
vegetable oil
1. Mix everything on a sheet pan so it is all well coated
2. Bake at 400 degrees until the sausage is cooked through and browned and the sprouts have crispy ends
3.Remove from oven and serve
I served ours with quinoa, but rice or any other carb would have served as an excellent base.10-15 brussels sprouts, cleaned and quartered
1/2 lb spicy sausage, removed from its casing
1 t caraway seeds
salt and pepper
vegetable oil

2. Bake at 400 degrees until the sausage is cooked through and browned and the sprouts have crispy ends
3.Remove from oven and serve
By the way brussel sprouts are very cheap!

brussel sprouts are by far my favorite veggie - i grew up eating them ALOT. My fave is served with bacon and a little canadian maple syrup - or simply fresh with a bit of pepper! definitely going to try them your way :)
Joy--even though I am not doing a lot of cooking lately, I LOVE your new blog. Keep it coming! Melissa
This is a recipe I definetly want to try. I actually love veggies so I like how you are doing a lot of recipes with them.
Thanks!
